Teacher of Love

Today is Pentecost Sunday.

We celebrate the outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord.

We celebrate the reversal of the disaster of the Tower of Babel.

We celebrate the sanctification of Clay and Breath – deification of humanity.

We celebrate the birth of the Church.

But most of all the teacher of truth and love has come.

By the way, people from other traditions do not understand the Christian use of the word pain.

Pain is the outpouring of self even when in apparent contradiction to the sensation that it is deleterious to oneself. It is the difference between perception and reality.

Happy Pentecost!
