Greetings on this the Tuesday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings: Jgs 6:11-24a; PS 85:9, 11-12, 13-14; Mt 19:23-30
Notes: In our current age we wrestle (rightly so) about autonomy, dignity and justification. It is a good time to be alive to be able to consider these things and not just worried as to the next slice of bread or where will we get today’s water from.
First reading
The Lord provides. Just do.
Responsorial Psalm
The Lord speaks of peace to his people.
Alleluia Verse
Jesus Christ became poor although he was rich
so that by his poverty you might become rich.
Gospel Portion
Who has autonomy and dignity? All persons.
Who has reasons for doing this thig or that? Everyone.
Who is justified before God? Ah, so now we get to the difficult question.
Jesus looked at them and said,
“For men this is impossible,
but for God all things are possible.”
Do right.
It is possible.
Peace be with you,
Deacon Gerry
