Given in abundance

This way! Follow the white blaze

He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.

To ration means to apportion a fixed amount in times of shortage and as in times of war.

Nor does his benevolence require perfect obedience, although perfect obedience is the most desirable path, a way free of friction and filled with joy.

No.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.

No religious test. No creedal requirements.

The Lord loves without ration due to limitation nor due to favoritism. The Lord loves because he is the author of love.

You believe in me, Thomas, because you have seen me, says the Lord; blessed are those who have not seen, but still believe!

Sometimes seeing is believing. Sometimes believing is seeing.

Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy. For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift of the Spirit. The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.

Many are the troubles of the just man, but out of them all the LORD delivers him.

You want to bring this man’s blood upon us.

False and true. False because you worry I want to condemn you – to put juridical value judgement upon you. Nope. True because the blood of Christ saves us from ourselves.

He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.

Because he values you equal to himself.

Peace be with you,
Deacon Gerry
