The inner self

The Foolishness of God is Love

Greetings on this the Thursday of the Twenty-ninth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings: EPH 3:14-21; PS 33:1-2, 4-5, 11-12, 18-19; LK 12:49-53

Summary

In our readings today. Paul describes the relationship with the Father is based on the transformation of the inner self. This relation, given in the riches of His Glory, dwelling within us and roots us firmly in love.

The ‘inner self’ could be described several ways. The conscious, the soul and the core values we hold dear – that define our best image of our personhood. Yet the inner self is not complete without the penetration of the Other of ourselves.

Reflection

To know true love is to know God. We have faith in the love given and the love we reflect back to him.

Personal Reflection

Let yourself be rooted and grounded in love. This is the “Fire” Jesus speaks of and nothing on Earth or among men and families is more important.
