Greetings on this the Memorial of Saint Charles Borromeo, Bishop
Readings: Romans 12:5-16ab; Psalm 131:1bcde, 2, 3; Luke 14:15-24
Summary
Be yourself. At the Day of Reflection yesterday, I offered to the participants that to enter into the Passion of the Christ is very individualized. Each of us is called to mission and personhood particular to each of us.
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us,
let us exercise them:
if prophecy, in proportion to the faith;
if ministry, in ministering;
if one is a teacher, in teaching;
if one exhorts, in exhortation;
if one contributes, in generosity;
if one is over others, with diligence;
if one does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Reflection
Let us pray.
Lord, you know. I know. Help me go beyond Pilgrimage and enter and stay firmly in Exodus. Help me discover passion as mission and person. Let us together, walk in your passion. May my life become an expression of your passion and, ultimately, I become your passion. Let me become inseparable from your divine presence, distinct but not apart. Unique but grounded in you, as you, for you. Let the spirit of abandonment fill my soul with divine passion. Amen.
