The key is your are still smiling and radiating the Holy Spirit! Your pilgrimage brought to mind the novel, American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins, on the lives of a group of refugees that migrated into the United States.
By the way, our college friend Kathy was in Mexico during your pilgrimage. Sylvia say her post on FB from San Migel. My sister has lived there for 40 years.
Yes, she invited me to see the full photo collection on FaceBook. Will borrow Mary’s account to view them! Amazing we were there the same time. Wouldn’t that have been a hoot to say, Hey, do I know you?
I found Mexico to be beautiful. Drove 1,200 miles in 5 days and saw a lot of variety of ecosystems (mountains, hills, high prairie, lowlands, marshes, rivers, etc, etc). Reminded me of the Block Hills, Nebraska, South Dakota, Colorado (literally Puebla). The best foods were in the southern states.
I look forward to her photo montage.
I had visions of traveling north with the migrant path and would have gone through San Migel and stayed with your sister for a night. Mary recalled me from the trip a few days early. Just too risky on the border. Next time!

Amazing the human drive to find work, safety and a horizon of hope for their families.
