Frustrating. Could not find public access point, so through a fence, see deer, boar and a dying natural area. Heavy urbanization is killing this place we call Earth.
I don’t like seeing areas like that and there are many out there. Even on this trip we are on we come across land that has been forgotten.

I agree. It’s named a natural area but there is not a lot of restoration there. Mostly it’s about water retention and underground recharge. I may be not accurate but this observation based. I do know in other of the 34 natural areas they have completed a really wonderful restoration to natural and native state. Maybe it’s just a matter of funding and time or priorities. But since urbanization continues I will suggest these are the future parks and recreation sites and the original purpose (which I help pay the bonds on) will be lost. In time.

Yes, I have seen some wonderful areas that they have restored and put into preservation so that people can not build anything there. Those are the areas I look for and the wildlife is very abundant in these areas, even though they are quite small at times.
