Greetings on this the Tuesday of Fifth Week of Easter
Readings: Acts 14:19-28; PS 145:10-11, 12-13ab, 21; Jn 14:27-31a
Notes:

It is a mystery to be encountered this supreme act of love.

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to finish his work (Jn 4:34). No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (Jn 15:13).

First reading
They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city,
supposing that he was dead.

Responsorial Psalm
Your friends make known, O Lord, the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

Alleluia Verse
Christ had to suffer and to rise from the dead,
and so enter into his glory.

Gospel Portion
for the ruler of the world is coming.
He has no power over me,
but the world must know that I love the Father
and that I do just as the Father has commanded me.

Peace be with you,
Deacon Gerry
