Notes: I call you my friends, says the Lord, for I have made known to you all that the Father has told me.
- Moses shows us that nothing is hidden from G-d.
- Jesus shows us nothing is hidden by G-d.
First Reading
Whenever Moses entered the presence of the LORD to converse with him, he removed the veil until he came out again.
Responsorial
Holy is the Lord our God.
Gospel Acclamation
I call you my friends, says the Lord, for I have made known to you all that the Father has told me.
Gospel
Jesus said to his disciples:
- “The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field.
- Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls.
G-d is not hidden but he is always ‘found as if hidden’.
We always look for the best friends and friendships as they are fine pearls.
Jesus is our friend.
G-d is hidden only if that is what you want – by choice.
Remove your veil.
Peace be with you,
Deacon Gerry
